The Art of Peter Turrell: sculpture 

Inspiration

Two students from the University of Paris came to visit John Ruysbroeck, the great medieval Mystic of  Flanders (1293 - 1381) and asked him to furnish them with a short phrase or motto that might serve them as a rule of life.

"Vos estis tam sancti sicut vultis."Ruysbroeck answered. 'You are as holy as you wish to be.'
