The Art of Donna Pascoe

Venus of Willendorf

Ancient cultures all over the world created sculptures to represent their beliefs manifested as gods, goddesses and creatures of unusual appearance.

They were given magical powers, and were used for personnal talismans and amulets to explain and appease the forces of nature.

They answered the questions of spirit and life. Others became the mythology of our time, leaving us uncertain if the stories are based in truth or imagination.  Tales of the fairies and little people are still told in many parts of the world.

Dinosaur fossils are the only proof we have of the giants that lived so long ago.
What of the other beings whose fossils we have not found?  Does this mean they never existed?
